  1. Into the Fire - the "Minor" nations of WW2 strike back

So. With Leningrad secured, what is the German baltic fleet gonna be doing for the next two years?
  2. Ghastly Victories: The United States in the World Wars

This is fascinating, a much more rebellious middle east in WW2! Question is, when did Demir develop these extensive connections, and how extensive are these islamist movement across the middle east? I don't recall them being mentioned earlier and I don't think they are OTL. Is Hitler starting...
  3. Into the Fire - the "Minor" nations of WW2 strike back

A dark day for Russia indeed. Long term, Finland handing over those POWs may be a stain on it's legacy. How exhausted is Army Group North, how much recuperation before they can take the offensive elsewhere?
  4. African Resources Thread

Thank you! I'm a little confused though, the second map seems to show migration of the San people, who are distinct from the pastoralist Khoekhoe IIRC?
  5. Ghastly Victories: The United States in the World Wars

So hitler being the aggressor he his has gone along with Demir's wagging. Here Greece is not overextended in Albania IIRC, they're in good position to organize a defense... assuming they don't overcommit to defending their acquisitions from Sevres and get a chunk of their army encircled in Thrace.
  6. Under wings of the Zilant: a Golden horde timeline

Would late 15th century musket tactics and technology already been good enough to defeat frontal cavalry charges? Anyways, a cool chapter. Portugal has made itself the terror of the Indian Ocean. How long will they be able to maintain it, before understanding of European ships and tactics spreads?
  7. Ghastly Victories: The United States in the World Wars

A North Africa where the Italian tanks are better than the British, what a wacko world this is! Italy is definitely doing better, but unless they reach Alexandria it is not consequential. That last paragraph is interesting an ominous. A British high command that gets drunk on the belief that...
  8. Ghastly Victories: The United States in the World Wars

Yugoslavia as a full (if very unstable) axis member and a Vichy-esque Greece?!? That's a little terrifying. Though perhaps Greece will get forced into the Allied camp anyway if Demir acts. No way he can take smyrna alone though, would the Germans support him wagging the dog? This could be a...
  9. Into the Fire - the "Minor" nations of WW2 strike back

Glad we're back in Europe, with all its minor nations. The pacific theater was wearing on. How successful was the British bombing of the ploesti oil fields? If it succeeded that's a major impact on the war.
  10. Into the Fire - the "Minor" nations of WW2 strike back

Surcouf's submerged range was about 70 nautical miles, that's less than 8 hours of travel it its speed. It can not run an entire 12 hour day submerged, and presumably cannot snorkel like late-war uboats.
  11. The Two Eyes of the World: A bigger Sassanid Persia

This is interesting. With a lot of land lost in the east including the important granary of Egypt, would the Roman Empire even bother to split in two like OTL (if Iran can hold it)?
  12. Ghastly Victories: The United States in the World Wars

Oh god that last line effectively confirms the remaining French ships will be used by the Axis. Whether under Vichy flag or German who knows, but either way Churchill's paranoia has caused even more damage than OTL. Interesting ASB idea, something ISOT 300+ million years ago?
  13. Into the Fire - the "Minor" nations of WW2 strike back

Thanks for the map. that clarifies things. The Indonesia campaign is in in full swing. The Duch submarines have been performing OK so far, but I hope Doorman's surface fleet won't take all of Ship-a-day Helfrich's thunder!
  14. Into the Fire - the "Minor" nations of WW2 strike back

The navy "chickening out" will not be good for the IJA-IJN interservice rivalry.
  15. Into the Fire - the "Minor" nations of WW2 strike back

McArthur will be well respected on TTL's AH.com. A scary thought. And oh man the IJA is doing poorly, is there any place they have not performed below expectations? Looking forwards to the chapter on the "Singapore Express", running frequent supply ships through Japanese controlled waters...
