After retiring from [gridiron] football as a player, his first broadcasting job was with UPN, where he shared the booth with Ernie Johnson covering the WLAF.
This year, he will join Ricki Lake on SBC's morning show Sunrise.

Now at UPN covering the NBA and the WLAF as a play by play announcer.

Longtime AFL/NFL announcer for NBC Sports.
When SBC held the AFC rights from 1987 until '89, Jones stayed at NBC to cover the 1988 Summer Olympics in Seoul. He also stayed at NBC to cover the USFL/WLAF from 1988 until 1990.
Jones moved to Fox in 1991 when Disney took over the WLAF contract.
In 1992, Jones, who lived in San Diego County, became the first play by play voice of the Mighty Ducks for regional telecasts. After the 1992-93 NHL season was complete, Jones left KTTY, Fox's San Diego affiliate, to accept an offer from the upstart Arizona Diamondbacks of MLB.
Passed away in March 2009 after a long illness.

"Sir Daniel Abbott based Phil Palmfeather's design on what my Dad looked like when the Mighty Duck franchise was first added to the NHL back in 1991. Dad paid the expansion fee only a month after he released D1. One exception was that Dad still wore tracksuits and high-top Nikes when he appeared on camera for the anthology series."

Well, I'll be cheesed. Popeye and Mario in the same running for Favorite Video Game. It must be 1982 all over again!
Popeye's resurgence in recent years has played a huge role.
And that's the main reason why I made a Popeye series on my SatAM schedule.
Plus, there will be more new Popeye material as part of the Bozo revival in 2010.

My brother in Christ, how will the Bozo revival fit in all of these?
Bozo will be in a 90 minute format.
Each studio will have one segment airtime for each episode. The different franchises will alternate in a weekly rotation so that you don't see the same characters two weeks in a row.
Thank you. But could we see a second revival from New Line in the process? Madeline seems to be the antithesis to your weekly rotation wheel.

Among that list, I would select Inspector Gadget, Heathcliff, Bill and Ted, Samurai Pizza Cats, Walter Melon, and Andy Larkin. Of those six, I'd make Inspector Gadget, Samurai Pizza Cats, and Andy Larkin as three additional New Line revivals.

With new Garfield material appearing in the Bozo revival, does this mean The Garfield Show will co-exist with Bozo's Garfield segments?
The Garfield Show will likely still be made in 3D while the Garfield material for Bozo will be 2D and reminiscent of the Quickies from Garfield and Friends.
The Garfield Show will likely air either on Festival, Bally's kid channel moving from premium to basic cable, or on CBS's SatAm lineup as part of Luxor's development deal with that network.
Lest I forget...
Sadly, Lorenzo Music still passed away in 2001 ITTL. So a new voice will be necessary for Garfield himself.
Bill Murray is still an option, but there's also John Goodman, John Barnard, Frank Welker, Dana Snyder, Mark Hamill, Patrick Warburton and Maurice LaMarche.

I actually think John Goodman could do a decent portrayal of Garfield. Not sure how you came up with Dana Snyder or Mark Hamil as options, though.
