Who was likelier to get a total victory in the Korean War? North Korea, or South Korea?

all other things being equal.
and by 'likelier to likelier to get a total victory' I mean 'likelier to reunify the peninsula in the Korean War'.
I'm interested in y'alls take on this.

The North assuming the US / UN didn't intervene. After the US / UN intervened, the Chinese were most likely going to intervene and prevent the South from capturing the entire North.

Actually, David T has mentioned that many Chinese communists were against an intervention.
 
Considering the North pretty much overran most of the South until the intervention...well, yeah.

I think it's obvious who'd win if everyone else refrained from throwing their militaries into the mix.
But with interventions, it's either a stalemate or World War 3, and I don't think anyone sane would consider that a victory.
